גם אם היה לי מיליון שנה להעלות כל תרחיש אפשרי על כתב, לא יכולתי לתאר את רכבת ההרים המטורפת שאני עתיד לעבור.
אבל מעבר להרפתקאות והחוויות והשינויים בהרגלי הצריכה, התזונה, התפיסות הפוליטיות ואפילו הסטטוס הזוגי והורי שעברתי במהלך המסע ובעקבותיו.
השינוי הגדול ביותר שעברתי הוא להבין שיש לעולם הזה כל כך הרבה יותר מה להציע מהמציאות הסאחית של מגורים במגדלים, משכנתא, עבודה יציבה ורכב חברה.
כמו בחוויה פסיכדלית ראשונה בה אתה מבין שהרובד של המציאות בו אתה מתנהל בנוחות רוב הזמן הוא רק רובד אחד, ויש רבדים נוספים, צבעוניים וססגוניים, שמתרחשים באותה העת ובאותו הזמן ומרחב.
כך ההבנה שהמציאות שאנחנו מכירים ורגילים אליה מבית, היא רק קמצוץ ממה שיש לעולם הזה להציע.
וזה לא נותן לך מנוח.
בכל פעם שאני מעשן, ומעט מאותה תודעה קיומית מחלחלת לעולמי הבנאלי למדי בימים אלו של בין ״גל ראשון״ ל״גל שני״, בבית של אמא בגבעתיים, אני אומר לדניאל שהייתי מעדיף להיות תקופה הומלס מאשר להישאר לחיות במטריקס.
אמנם זה לא משהו שאני שואף אליו (לפחות לא במודע), אבל כן אני רואה את זה כאופציה עדיפה על חיי השגרה של כל אלו שסביבי.
הריגוש שבחיי הנוודות והקבלה של הלא נודע בזרועות פתוחות, זה אולי הסם החזק ביותר בטבע. וממש כפי שעבור חלק DMT או איווסקה נשמעת כמו חוויה מבעיתה שהם בחיים לא ירצו לנסות, ולחלק זה נשמע כמו הדבר הכי מטורף שיש ותן להם לחקור את זה בלי סוף, כך זה בדיוק עם חיי הנדודים.
